Moltrasio Moltrasio

Moltrasio is located on the west shore in the first basin of Lake Como. Famous for its villas, houses, personalities and gardens (see for example, Villa Fontanelle, once owned by Versace). The mild and sunny climate and the enchanting view, make it the pearl of the Lario. The ancient origins of Moltrasio are documented by the discovery of a copper ax dating back to 2000 BC. Today, it consists of many picturesque hamlets that lead up to the mountains. Moltrasio is famous for its ancient stone quarries still visible along the "Sentee di Sort".
